  2. Hey Mark, any idea where I can find a new fuel tank? i am replacing the fuel pump in my 99 Blazer 4 door and the clips that hold the retainer clip down on the fuel pump are rusted and broken.

  3. How do you spell fanagel?

  4. Just a little thing I found helpful, instead of a floor jack I used ratchet straps to lower the tank. Not in the way like a floor jack. Great video. 🙂

  5. What to do if you do break the fuel vent return

  6. Alright my question is. My s10 blazer does start but its tales forever to start it and then once its running I can drive it all day. There is a power loss in the low end. Is that a fuel pump or bad spider?

  7. Does this work on a oldsmobile bravada as well?

  8. Awesome video.  Repair worked great.  Thank you for taking the time to post.

  9. Would you please kindly do a video on replacing a 1996 GMC Jimmy SLE (4 door), driver's door latch. Thank you.

  10. I haven't started our Blazer yet, but thanks to your video I feel I can do this one much easier than a couple cars I changed the fuel pumps on several years ago. Thank you!

  11. If the fuel line is not properly place will it create problem?

  12. I would add one thing to this, though. I pulled the four bolts out of the back u-joint, tied the drive shaft up high, and it gave me a LOT of room. Still! Thanks for putting this up! That forward bolt was a (poopy word!)! But I used an impact and the back and forth with the vise grips like you did. Worked like a charm, and no rung bolts!!!

  13. Some people might have said you were silly for this. Tell them I said you are the BOMB!!! You just saved me hours!!! Good job!!! Lot of tips, and they worked. Especially working the nuts back and forth on the bolt. Good work, bro!

  14. Good video on this. Thank you . I replaced the vent valve hose with a longer hose. (at the front of tank) . The plastic stem often breaks .

  15. Hey I'm having trouble getting the middle line off that's a little diffrent. is it the same way as the others?

  16. thank you I got a 2000 GMC Jimmy that I got to drop the fuel tank on a put a new fuel pump in and your video was really helpful

  20. I have a 2001 2 door blazer. This video is like those fast fast food commercials showing good looking food. Shows how easy it could be till you attempt to do it and its totally different.

  21. thanks Mark, I wasnt sure how to release the fuel lines, now I know, keep up the videos

  22. My vapor return line is like "glued to the tank or something. Any special methods or something on how to get this thing off?

  23. You can siphon the gas out by just disconnecting the quick connect on the fuel filter and attaching a hose. Then jump the fuel pump relay (Pins 30 to 87). This will force the pump to run. It made my pump run even though it wouldn't with the key on. My pumps motor seamed to seize and that somehow freed it up. (Do NOT jump 85 or 86!)

  24. I just cut a hole in the floor and removed the pump from inside the vehicle. Put a sheet metal patch over the hole, go to go!

  25. Well i just dropped the tank and found a new fuel pump! Oh well guess i'll replace it and the tank anyway. Tank is definately due!

  26. Who celebrates with cigarettes?

  27. I just successfully completed my fuel pump today on a 2004 Blazer. Great videos on how to go about doing it. Appreciate the help and the money I saved by not having a mechanic do it. I know I saved at least $800 doing it myself. Bangerang!!!

  28. Thanks, this helped. Just a tip. If you have access to a motorcycle jack, it works very well to drop the tank. I just lowered a full tank.

  29. What's going on man? I'm attempting to do this on my 2004 Blazer. I sprayed PB Blaster on and front strap 6 times over the course of a couple of days. I loosened, then tightened just like you did and ended up snapping the rod. Maybe i should have used a wire brush on the rod but I don't think that would have helped. Getting all the rubber hoses off where they're connected is a bitch. If you have any advice, please let me know. I'm am damn determined to do this! Not gonna pay a mechanic $800-$1000 to do something that would cost me maybe $150-$200.

  30. you should have showed how to take the pump out of the tank

  31. thank you for the video. My son broke that vent when he dropped my tank last time…we could not get a replacement for it so he JB welded it back on and it seems to be holding just fine. Yea…..a lot of parts for this car you can't get anymore…can't get a replacement fuel tank either so best be careful not to puncture your tank….

  32. Good video!! However, removing the bolts for the bed, and jacking it up on the front end is a much easier process to gain access to the fuel pump assembly. I guess it all comes down to personal preference. Good job though!! Two thumbs up!!

  33. how much hours does a shop charge for this replacement?

  34. i have a very important question about the pump can any mechanic help out

  35. i sprayed wd on mine and the front bolt came loose .but had a problem restalling the strap for the front bolt

  36. thanks for your video .but its not as easy as in your video in real life its much harder to do by your self .but i did it with being very careful too not getting under the truck
